Diab: Port blast “reveals Lebanese shortcomings” on anniversary of Beirut disaster

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab confirmed on Tuesday that Lebanon was going through a very dangerous period threatening its future.

The bomber struck shortly after noon on August 4, exposing the country’s wrongdoing and exposing a part of the corruption scandal affecting Lebanon, Diab said in a press release posted on the ministry’s official website on Twitter. Revealed the characteristics of the deep state and the state of corruption.

He added that “everyone must recognize that true justice is the cornerstone of protecting Lebanon from the fall.

Diab said, “There will be no real justice in Lebanon if real justice is not done in the Beirut port bombing.

One year after the eruption, landmarks “still glow, pain continues to bleed from the hearts, and the burning fire for the families of the martyrs and the wounded has not been extinguished.”

An explosion in the port of Beirut, exploding ammonium nitrate levels, damaged several streets in the capital, killing more than 200 people and injuring more than 6,000 and leaving 300,000 homeless. The blast destroyed 226 schools, 20 training centers and the 32A University campus, and investigations have not yet revealed how the blast occurred.
