Police are investigating the incident where a teenager was hanged in a family dispute near Karur.
Mariappan hails from Adiyamankottai village near Moolimangalam in Karur district. Wage laborer. His wife is Kavipriya (20). They have a baby girl. In this situation, Mariappan often gets drunk and fights with his drunken wife. Mariappan, who came home drunk as usual last Wednesday night, got into an argument with his wife.
The young man hanged himself in a family dispute
Disappointed with life, Kavipriya hanged herself at home yesterday. Velayuthambalam police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Karur Government Hospital for postmortem. In addition, the police are registering a case and investigating a complaint lodged by Kavipriya’s parents in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, the Karur Revenue Commissioner is investigating the incident as Kavipriya committed suicide 3 years after her marriage.
