The two Koreas are re-opening the means of communication between them

The South Korean president said that South Korea and North Korea had reopened their hotline and that the leaders of the two countries had agreed to build trust and improve relations.
As per the agreement between the leaders, all inter-Korean communication channels will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday (0100 GMT), the official North Korean official Central News Agency reported.
The State House in Seoul said President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had exchanged several messages since April and agreed to reopen the hotline.
The Pyongyang hotline was cut in June 2020 as relations between the two countries deteriorated following the failure of the February 2019 summit between Kim and former US President Donald Trump.
Chandran called for the hotline to be reopened and talks to resume. U.S. President Joe Biden has high hopes of resuming talks aimed at dismantling North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
