Public Welfare Minister M Subramanian has said that Tamil Nadu is the first state in India to provide corona vaccine to pregnant women.
Speaking at the press conference, the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare, M.Sc. Subramanian said only Omega 3 sufferers would be admitted to the hospital and would be tested twice every 24 hours. Of the 121 people affected by omega in Tamil Nadu, only 23 are currently receiving treatment, he said. He added that people with Omega 3 can recover from the infection in 4 to 5 days.

Tamil Nadu has so far given over 8 crore vaccines, of which 87% were given the first dose and 60.71% the second dose. Tamil Nadu is number one in the country in providing immunizations to pregnant and lactating mothers and the disabled and everyone should be vaccinated without hesitation, said Welfare Minister M Subramanian.

He said that as per the directions of the Central Government, the Chief Minister will start the mission of giving booster doses to senior activists and those above 60 years of age on the 10th.
