The coastal districts of Karnataka are expected to receive 200 mm of rain till tomorrow morning as the sea level rises in the Arabian Sea. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rains. A red alert has been issued for more than 200 mm of rain from tomorrow.

Due to the southwest monsoon in Karnataka, heavy rains are expected in various parts of the state, including Bangalore. The coastal districts of Karnataka, Udupi, Uttarakhand and Dakshina Kannada received heavy rainfall. Rivers are flooded due to heavy rains in various places. Coastal residents have also been warned of the possibility of floods.
