Nitish Kumar blames misunderstanding for farmers’ protest

translate : Malayalam

‘Protests should be accompanied by discussions’

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the farmers’ protest was due to misunderstandings. He said that discussions should be held along with the protests. ‘The central government wants to talk to the farmers to eliminate the problems in the procurement system. So I hope the conversation goes on. The protest is being held due to misunderstandings, ”said Nitish Kumar.

Farmers in various parts of Delhi and Haryana have been protesting and the central government has refused to hold talks on December 3. They said it was humiliating to impose conditions to start a conversation.

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah himself had intervened directly to end the strike, but the protesters rejected the conditions put forward by Shah. Farmers’ organizations had said that more farmers would join the protest if the central government tried to suppress the protest. The government’s proposal was to move to the protest site in Buradi. However, the farmers’ organizations said that the venue would not be changed and that they were not interested in a conditional discussion.
