Modi visits Bharat Biotech Vaccine Manufacturing Center

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the vaccine manufacturing center of Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBL) in Telangana. He also evaluated the manufacturing process of Kovacs, the Kovid vaccine. He interacted with scientists and company officials. Kovacin, India’s first indigenous Kovid vaccine, is manufactured by Bharat Biotech. The Kovid vaccine is being developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The third phase of the experiment is currently underway. Ahmedabad was the first of the Prime Minister’s three-city tour to personally review the vaccine development and production process in the country. ‘ I appreciate their team. In addition to covaxin, the indigenous vaccine of Cidus cadillas is also under clinical trial. Prime Minister Modi will also visit the Serum Institute of India in Pune. The Oxford feasibility vaccine, developed by the Pune – based Serum Institute in association with AstraZeneca, is also being tested.
