Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to increase the supply of medical oxygen and send the oxygen produced in Bengal to other states. At the top of the letter the CM wrote ‘very urgently’ with a pen. The Chief Minister requested that the supply of oxygen to Kovid patients be increased to 550 MT per day. Mamata wrote, ‘The demand for medical oxygen has increased as corona infections have increased in the state. It requires 480 metric tons of oxygen every day. It will rise to 550 MT in the next 7-8 days.
