In the last 24 hours, 949 new cases have been confirmed in Tamil Nadu, according to a report released by the Department of Medicine and Public Welfare today. The number of cases has come down from 1051 yesterday to 949 today. Thus, the number of corona confirmed cases in Tamil Nadu has increased from 34 lakh to 44,929 so far.

In Chennai, 223 new cases were confirmed. Thirteen cases were confirmed in Coimbatore, 92 in Chengalpattu, 47 in Erode and 40 in Tirupur.
Today, 3,172 people recovered and were discharged in a single day. Thus the number of people landing from Corona in Tamil Nadu increased from 33 lakhs to 91,011.
