The ministry said in a daily statement on its official official page on its social networking site (Facebook) that the number of injured was 284,789 and the death toll had risen to 16,582.
The ministry said 71 people had recovered from the coronavirus-borne disease caused by the corona virus and had been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus to 233,298.
