Do not impose a lockdown without the permission of the Central Government; Strict control in containment zones

translate : Malayalam

New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has issued another order on restrictions in the wake of Kovid cases in several states. It has been suggested that lockdowns should not be imposed without the prior permission of the Central Government. At the same time, local governments may adopt restrictions such as night curfews. The Home Ministry has also directed that strict control be maintained in the containment zone. Only essential services are allowed in the Containment Zone.

States and Union Territories should take steps to ensure mask wearing, hand washing and social distance. Exemptions granted as part of the unlock process will continue. The Central Government has made it clear that no restrictions will be imposed on inter-state travel and cargo movement.

Social, religious, sports, recreational, educational and cultural events can be held at 50% of the capacity of the hall. The number of people should not exceed 200. Theaters can also open up to 50 percent of the people. Swimming pools should be used for sports training only. Exhibition halls can only be used for business-to-business purposes.
