The districts of Western Ghats, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tenkasi, Dharmapuri, Salem and Krishnagiri will receive thundershowers at one or two places due to the cyclone. Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts will receive heavy rainfall at one or two places. Drought is forecast in other districts and in Puthuvai and Karaikal, the Met office said.
In the Western Ghats, thundershowers will occur in the coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu, Salem, Dharmapuri, Tirupattur and Vellore tomorrow or the next day.
On the 13th, Puthuvai, Karaikal, one or two places in the Western Ghats and coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu will receive dry weather and light rainfall. The Met office said that there will be thundershowers at a few places in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts on the 14th.
For Chennai, the sky will be clear for the next 48 hours. The maximum temperature will be 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 20 degrees Celsius.
