A college student was killed when his lorry collided with a two-wheeler near Thurayur.
Dhanasekharan (19) is the son of Selvaraj, a native of Muziri in Trichy district. He was a first year B.Com student in a private college in Kannanur near Thuraiyur. In this situation, Dhanasekharan was going to college in a two-wheeler with his classmates Aravind and Surya in connection with the semester examination yesterday.
A two-wheeler collided head-on with a lorry coming from Thuraiyur Andhra Pradesh on its way to the next Kannanur Palayam area. Dhanasekhar died tragically while getting on the wheel of the lorry. Surya and Aravind escaped with minor injuries.
On learning of the accident, Jembunathapuram police found Dhanasekhar’s body and sent it to Thuraiyur Government Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered in connection with the accident and a lorry driver from Kodilingatha in Andhra Pradesh has been arrested.
