Two youths were killed in a two-wheeler accident near Dalmiyapuram in Trincomalee district.
Karthik hails from Peruvalanallur village in Trichy district. Velumani and Narayanasamy are friends from Udayarpalayam in Ariyalur district. The three had gone to a friend’s wedding in Jayankanda. The trio then returned home in a two-wheeler.

A two-wheeler collided with a speeding vehicle at a toll plaza near Kizharasur in Dalmiyapuram in Trincomalee district. All three were seriously injured when they fell from the vehicle. The Kallakudy police rescued the three and rushed them to the Ariyalur government hospital for treatment.
The three were rushed to Tanjore Government Hospital for further treatment. There Velumani and Narayanasamy succumbed to their injuries. Karthik is undergoing intensive treatment. Gallagudi police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
