The bodies of two people who died of corona infection have not been cremated for a year and a half.

The bodies of those who died of corona in March were kept in hospital for 16 months

Durga Sumitra, 40, and Muniraj, 50, both from Bangalore, Karnataka, died of coronary heart disease in July 2020 at the ESII Hospital in Bangalore.
When the hospital staff told the relatives that the bodies would be cremated, the relatives went and found the bodies of the two in a decomposing state. The hospital staff who saw this told the management.
The matter then spread to relatives and the public, arguing for action against the employees.
