A study by the San Diego School of Medicine at the University of California, Berkeley found that people who took sedatives were less likely to get the disease. A supplementary study found that people who took statin pills had a 41 percent lower risk of death.
When corona proliferation was in its infancy, the question arose as to which pill would make the drug work against corona. The study of state pill takers was based on the notion that drugs that block the body’s ACE2 receptor may work against corona.
The study included 10,541 patients in the nine months from January to September 2020. The study looked at the extent to which corona infection occurs in patients taking statins due to factors such as heart disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Coronavirus-induced mortality was found to be 32 percent lower in patients who took the state pill than in other non-state cardiac and hypertensive patients. Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus.
