The Prime Minister said the government was ready to discuss and respond to all issues in Parliament

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the government was ready to discuss all issues in the House ahead of the winter session of Parliament. Speaking to the media outside Parliament, the Prime Minister said, “Discussions, not obstacles, are the yardstick of parliamentary success.”

“This is an important session of Parliament. The people of the country want a productive session. They are fulfilling their responsibilities for a brighter future,” Modi added.

Modi reminded the MPs that they have come to Parliament to realize the dreams of millions of people in the country.

Noting that Parliament last week renewed its commitment to uphold the spirit of the Constitution, Modi said: “Everyone in the country hopes that the spirit of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav will be preserved. The Church should discuss issues of national interest, explore new avenues for development, and make positive decisions that have far-reaching implications.

The Prime Minister also urged the people to be wary of the new variant of Kovid-19, Omiciron.

The 25-day winter session of parliament, which is expected to pass 36 bills, including the repeal of agricultural laws, begins today. Sources said the bill passed by the Lok Sabha was sent to the Rajya Sabha for consideration on Friday. She said the government is likely to present it in the Rajya Sabha on Monday after it is passed by the Lok Sabha. Explaining the repeal of the agricultural laws in the repeal bill, the government said the need of the hour was to “bring all together on the path of inclusive growth and development.”

Other bills to be passed in the session include the critical cryptocurrency and the official digital currency bill regulation, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021, and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill.
