East Bengal club will not sign the contract. As a result, the future of red and yellow is foggy. The decision was announced after a meeting of the East Bengal Working Committee on Friday. At 6 p.m., club officials convened an emergency meeting. Before that, a large number of members and supporters came to the front of the club. They are shouting slogans. Many also demanded the intervention of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The meeting lasted about an hour after the club’s shutters were closed. At the end of the meeting, club secretary Kalyan Majumdar issued a press release. He clarified the location of the club there.
The notification was signed by 24 members who attended the working committee meeting.
