In Madurai, a two-wheeler collided head-on with a road block, killing the traffic chief.
Rajasekharan (42) hails from Thirumangalam East Street in Madurai district. He was the Chief Constable of the Madurai Traffic Investigation Department. In this case, Rajasekharan was going in his two-wheeler to inquire about the accident that took place on the day of the incident in a small break area near the Madurai Perungudi ring road.
Police chief dies in road accident in Madurai
At Mandela Nagar Junction near Madurai Airport, a two-wheeler unexpectedly hit a barrier in the middle of the road. Rajasekharan was seriously injured when he fell from the vehicle in the accident.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
