Six people, including five children from the same village in Uttar Pradesh, have died of an unknown fever in the past one week amid panic over Kovid’s third wave. Incident in any village in Mathura district.
Fear of unknown fever has spread not only in Uttar Pradesh but also in Bharatpur in Rajasthan. According to the Uttar Pradesh Health Department, at least 60 people have been admitted to hospitals in Mathura and Agra with unknown fever.
Children from a village were hospitalized with a high fever. The health department said everyone had symptoms of some kind. Chief Health Officer Rachana Gupta said a team of doctors visited the village and collected samples. They have been sent for testing for malaria, dengue and Kovid.
However, the cause of death was not immediately clear, the chief health officer said. Initially, dengue fever was thought to be the leading cause of death. Because the platelet count of those children was very low.
