The Union Ministry of Health has so far distributed over 100 crore vaccines to the States and Union Territories.
The corona vaccine has been given to people across India since last January. Provides vaccines for covaxin and covi shield. The number of vaccines sent to the states was low due to low initial vaccine production. With the warning for the third wave, vaccine production is on the rise and millions of vaccines are being distributed to states.

So far 97 crore people in India have been vaccinated. The Ministry of Health expects India to reach the target of 100 crore vaccines within the next week. According to the Union Ministry of Health, there are more than 10.53 crore vaccines in the states and union territories. It says state governments can plan in advance depending on the availability of vaccines and that will increase vaccination activity. It also provides free immunizations to states and union territories.
