Modi cabinet reshuffle: Ministers to arrive in Delhi on Wednesday evening

Jyotiraditya Scindia boarded a flight to Delhi for worship at the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. He joined the BJP along with Jana Panchik Congress MLAs from Madhya Pradesh a year and a half ago and changed the government. Nothing but a Rajya Sabha MP post has been matched so far. Supporters of the Gwalior leader claim that it is necessary to include Narendra Modi in the cabinet this time.

According to the news agency ANI, the reshuffle of the Union Cabinet will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday. Maybe a new cabinet meeting. BJP sources said that a new generation of leaders will get seats in the new cabinet.

Not only Jyotiraditya, but also potential ministers started arriving in Delhi from noon on Tuesday. They appear in a Delhi court as soon as they receive the specific message requested by BJP sources. Former Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Sarbananda Sonwal is also on the list. There are two JD (M) MPs, Rajiv Ranjan, Lalon Singh and Ramchandra Prasad Singh. Two BJP MPs, Rahul Kaswan (Churu) and CP Joshi (Chittorgarh), who were elected to the Lok Sabha from Rajasthan, also arrived in Delhi.

A section of the business community believes that Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be given special prominence in the cabinet reshuffle ahead of next year’s assembly elections. There are rumors that the newly appointed Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Thirat Singh Rawat, will be made a Union Minister.

The list of possible BJP ministers from Uttar Pradesh includes Kanpur MP Satyadio Pachauri, Prayagraj’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi, slum dweller Harish Dwivedi and Ram Shankar Katheria. Among them was Dalit leader Kataria, who was earlier in Modi’s cabinet. The names of Kausambi MP Binod Kumar Songar, Pankaj Chadhari of Maharajganj, Sakaldeep Rajbar of Baliar, SP Singh Bagel of Agra, Rajendra Agarwal of Meerut and Kaushal Kishore of Mohanlalganj are also under discussion.

Among the NDA allies, Apnadal (S)’s Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel could be a Union Minister again. According to BJP sources, Praveen, son of Nishad’s party chief Sanjay Nishad, is likely to become a state minister. However, on paper, the senior monk was the MP who won the BJP ticket from Kabir Nagar.

Manipur will also go to the polls early next year. BJP MP Rajkumar Ranjan Singh is rumored to be a Union Minister this time. On Wednesday, Bihar LJP MP Pashupatinath Paras was also sworn in in the court of President Ramnath Kobind. Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan, another LJP faction leader, called his uncle Pasupathi an “expelled independent MP”.
