Today, Tuesday, Malaysia recorded 20,897 new corona virus cases, compared to yesterday’s 19,268 cases, according to Malaysian Director General of Health Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The state of Selangor still represents the highest number of cases, at 4,371, followed by Sabah at 2,594 and then at Sarawak at 2,285. The death toll in Malaysia has risen to 1,746,254 since the outbreak.
In his first speech since taking office as Malaysian Prime Minister last week, Ismail Sabri Yacoub asked opposition parties to attend government committees set up to combat the corona virus pandemic.
Ismail Sabri added, “Political stability needs to be achieved quickly through collective action, including cooperation between parties.”
