The deadline to control Kovid has been extended to August 15. At the same time, the state government has imposed some relaxations and some additional restrictions on the Kovid control laws. The new rules will take effect from Saturday, July 31, the state chief secretary said in a directive issued on Thursday.
Following the fear of a third wave, the control of the corona was extended. However, concessions have been made to government activities. According to Guid official guidelines, a government ceremony with 50 percent of the audience can be held at a closed door. However, the curfew will remain in effect from 9pm to 5am.
The government had earlier banned vehicles and the public from traveling on the roads from 9pm to 5am, except for health services, law enforcement services and other emergency services. The regulation, issued on July 14, came into force on July 30. On Thursday, the government announced that it would extend it to August 15.
The new guidelines instructed district administrations and police commissioners to closely monitor the law. At the same time, it is recommended to wear a mask, keep physical distance and follow other hygiene rules.
The state also issued guidelines on Thursday calling for greater emphasis on disease prevention in the workplace. In addition to increasing work options from home, authorities have been asked to take responsibility for ensuring regular hygiene in the office and preventing immunizations for employees.
According to the guidelines, legal action will be taken against those who do not comply with the directives of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
