In the wake of the growing corona virus infection across the country, doctors have warned of medical procedures this time around. In a letter to the Central and State Governments, they demanded the immediate withdrawal of methods that have not been scientifically proven to be effective in the treatment of Kovid 19 patients.
Thirty-two doctors and medical experts sent copies of the letter to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Center and the states. Some of them work in India. Some expatriates also work in countries such as the USA and Canada. They have questioned not only the medical system but also the corona test method, which does not match the evidence of efficacy. The list includes CT scan, D-dimer, and IL-6 laboratory tests.
During the first and second stages of treatment, the Union Ministry of Health and the states have issued different treatment laws to keep the hospitals ready. Vitamin combinations such as azithromycin, doxycycline, hydroxychloroquine, favipiravir, and ivermectin. Many of them were later withdrawn. According to 32 physicians and medical experts, the same error is more likely to recur in the context of recent infections.
They allege that the use of such irrational drugs in the delta form of corona virus infection is harmful. They point to the widespread misuse of inappropriate drugs as the cause of fungal infections such as mucoria in India and aspergillosis in Brazil. The state government this month dropped monoclonal antibody therapy (cocktail therapy) and antidepressants from the “list of specific treatments” due to insufficient data on its effectiveness.
