The drunken husband cut off his wife’s arms and legs with an ax and ‘punished’ her. The wife lives outside the house for work. The husband suspected that she was involved in an extramarital affair. On the basis of that suspicion, Kopal Swami stabbed his wife who came home on holiday.
The incident took place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night. Witnesses said they arrived at the scene after hearing the woman’s screams. But by then the accident had happened. The woman was lying on the floor of the house in a bloody state. His right arm and right leg were separated from his body. It is also alleged that the drunken husband was going to cut off his wife’s head with an ax. Neighbors arrested him and informed the police. Police have arrested the man. The seriously injured woman has been admitted to the hospital. However, doctors said that his physical condition was critical. Doctors could not confirm whether his arms and legs could be attached.
According to the police, the name of the accused is Pritam Singh Sisodia. He is 32 years old. He lived with his only child in Parsh Colony of Hosangabad under Nishatpur Police Station in Bhopal. His wife Sangeeta used to live in Indore. He worked as a factory supervisor. He used to return home on weekly leave. Sangeeta came home on the same holiday on Tuesday. Nishatpur police chief Mahendra Singh Chouhan said the incident took place around 11:30 pm. Pritam returned home drunk. In that situation, he cut off his wife’s right hand and right leg with an ax.
Neighbors rushed to hear the music. The police also arrived. Police arrested Pritam. Sangeetha’s family has sued for the child’s rights.
