Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport will be closed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Navjot Khosa said.
The move is part of efforts to ensure the safety of airport operations. The meteorological department has warned of heavy rains and winds in Thiruvananthapuram district in the wake of Hurricane Burvi which formed in the Bay of Bengal. The district has therefore declared a state of emergency.
