Thundershowers will develop at one or two places in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkashi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Erode districts.
The weather in Chennai will be cloudy for 48 hours with a chance of thundershowers in some parts of the city. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the Kumarik Sea and the Gulf of Mannar as strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected.
