Tamil Nadu has been rocked by low pressure in the Bay of Bengal for the past one week. Andhra Pradesh is now devastated by another low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Many villages were flooded, including Nandalur, Rajampet, Kundallur, Seshamambapuram and Manpallu. As a result, government buses plying on these routes were stranded. Two buses plying on the Rajampet-Nandalur route are partially submerged and one is completely submerged.
Unable to escape, 12 people were trapped in the floodwaters and died tragically. More than 30 people are feared to have drowned in the floods. I do not know what to do next. Livestock such as sheep and cows were also washed away in the floods. The Tirumalai Tirupati Temple and the surrounding hills are surrounded by floods. Buses and cars ply the roads.
