A huge fire broke out at a coconut oil factory in the Maheshtala post office area. As a result, a part of the factory was burnt down. Six fire engines are trying to put out the fire. Four workers at the factory became ill after heavy smoke from the fire. We know this from local sources. They were rescued and taken to a local hospital.
A few drums of fuel oil reportedly caught fire at the factory just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. From there the fire spread rapidly. That fire took on a terrible form next time. Firefighters and police arrived on the scene. Six fire engines are trying to put out the fire.
The factory had a stockpile of chemicals and oils. For this reason, it is believed that the fire quickly took a terrible form and spread to two nearby factories. The fire brigade said the fire started from a short circuit.
