The district administration, the health department and the corporation are working on a war footing to prevent the spread of the disease. While the daily corona test in the district was 4 thousand, the number of tests also increased as the infection increased.
Accordingly, the corporation tested 4,000 people in the area and 6,000 people in the suburbs and 10,000 people a day. As the number of tests increased, the patients were immediately identified and given the necessary treatment. As a result, the disease started declining in the district.

In this regard, the health department said that so far 11 lakh 3 thousand 970 people in Erode district have undergone coronary examination. Of these, 8,899 were tested yesterday alone. The number of restricted areas has dropped to 43, with 1,676 currently under house surveillance across the district.
Similarly, in Erode district, 96 per cent of the people recovered from the infection and returned home. Currently, only 3 percent are in treatment. One percent died. The health department said people should not be careless as the infection is declining and should follow the safety measures announced by the government.
