Yin Weidong, head of the Chinese company Synovac Biotech, said China has approved the immediate use of a vaccine manufactured by the company to prevent the corona virus between the ages of three and 17.
As of June 3, the Chinese vaccination campaign, which had delivered more than 723 million doses, refused to vaccinate anyone under the age of eighteen.
In a live interview with Chinese TV, Yin added that it remains to be seen when the vaccine will be available to young people as defense authorities prepare vaccination strategies.
Clinical trials of stage I and II of the vaccine have shown that the vaccine stimulates immunization in children aged three to 17 years.
