The health department said 835 people were given booster vaccination at a special camp in Erode district on Thursday.
The booster vaccine comes as corona and omega-3 infections are on the rise across India. The first phase is the booster vaccination for leading practitioners, health workers, and those over 60 years of age who have completed 9 months after receiving the second phase of the corona vaccine. Booster vaccination work has been going on in Tamil Nadu for the last 10 years.

The Erode district aims to provide 24,000 booster vaccine for 2 months pre-vaccination and 9-month-olds over 60 years of age. The government has ordered special camps for boosters as more than a thousand people in the district have so far received booster injections. Accordingly, it was announced that a special camp for booster vaccination would be held every Thursday.
This was followed by a special booster vaccination camp across the state yesterday. A special camp for booster vaccination was conducted at 76 centers in government hospitals, primary health centers and schools in Erode district. The camp was started with the aim of giving booster injections to 5500 people in this special camp. The Department of Health said 835 former field workers at the camp had been given booster injections for those over the age of 60 who had contracted the disease.
