He agreed to co-operate with the CID’s interrogation. However, due to circumstances, Corona could not go to Bhabani Bhavan. That is why BJP MP Arjun Singh said he was ready to respond to the questioning in a virtual way.
The CID on Thursday sent a notice to Arjun in a financial fraud case. The investigating agency summoned him to Bhabani Bhavan on May 25. In this regard, Arjun said on Friday that he would co-operate with the CID’s interrogation. But it has to be virtual. He also demanded that the case be taken out of West Bengal. His argument is that proper justice cannot be found in this state. Not only this case, all cases against BJP leaders should be in court outside West Bengal, he said. The BJP MP claimed that the matter would be taken up in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Arjun alleged that the CBI had sent him a notice in the old case alleging that he had arrested grassroots leaders and ministers. The incident started with the construction of a sewer at Bhatpara. It is alleged that a tender was called for the construction of the canal but it was given to someone close to Arjuna. It is alleged that Rs 4.5 crore was spent on the construction of the canal but it was not actually constructed. CID reached Arjun’s door to investigate the case.
