The fight between the Tamil Nadu government and the Karnataka government over the Megha Dadu dam continues. The Tamil Nadu government is adamant that the dam should not be built. When Minister Durai Murugan drew the attention of the Union Water Resources Minister, he had promised that permission would not be granted to build the dam without consulting the Tamil Nadu government. Karnataka Chief Minister Edurappa’s claim that the dam will be built after that has caused controversy.

In this case, Meghdav decided to seek the advice of all parties on the dam issue. He called for an allied meeting. Accordingly, the Sir Party meeting chaired by Chief Minister Stalin is being held today at the Namakkal Kavi Bhavan in the Chennai General Secretariat. The meeting is being held to reflect the views of all parties to protect the interests of the farmers.
