The Federal Department of Health recommends that people with corona be vaccinated with a booster dose after 3 months.
Vaccination has been given for more than a year to control the spread of corona across the country. More than 156 crore doses have been given so far. Initially, the vaccine was given only to people over 18 years of age, but only to children between the ages of 3 and 15 and 18 years. Similarly, the federal government has allowed the use of booster doses for sick people and senior employees over the age of 60.
Booster dose vaccination begins
Accordingly, from January 10, booster doses will be given to health workers, including police, across the country in the first phase. The Federal Department of Health said the booster dose could be given 9 months after the second dose. In this case, the federal government said that people with corona should be vaccinated after 3 months.
Vikas Sheel, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health, has written to all the States and Union Territories in this regard. In that letter, he advised those recovering from coronavirus treatment to be given all types of corona vaccines, including a booster dose, 3 months later.
Booster dose
Asking the concerned authorities to take note of this, Vikas Sheel said the move was based on the recommendation of the National Technical Advisory Council on Scientific Evidence and Immunization. In addition, the letter again suggested that those receiving the 2nd dose should inject the booster dose after 9 months.
