The young man committed suicide near Theni after his father scolded him.
Ravi hails from Gowder Street in Cuddalore Municipality in Theni district. Carpentry is done. He is survived by his wife Mata and a 19-year-old son Hariharan. Hariharan came home after work. In this situation, Ravi’s father scolded Hariharan for telling him to go to work yesterday. With this, there is a dispute between father and son. Following this, Ravi and his wife Mata went to Theni to visit relatives. Hariharan was alone at home.

It was at this point that Mata called her cousin Devi, a neighbor, and asked her to come and see Hariharan. When Devi leaves, her house is locked inside. The accused then broke down the door of the house and entered the house and found Hariharan hanging. She informed her mother about this through her mobile phone.
The shocked mother died unconscious. Cuddalore South police found Hariharan’s body and sent him to Kambam Government Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered in the incident and an investigation is underway. The people of the area were saddened when the mother died of a heart attack in the shock of the news of her son’s death.
