Two women, including a girl from Bangalore, were killed in a head-on collision between two cars near Krishnagiri.
Anil Kumar hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. Private company employee. He was traveling in a car with his wife Aparna, daughters Akansha, Akshara (10) and cousin Remya to attend a function at a relative’s house in Chennai yesterday. Anil Kumar’s car collided with another car on the Bangalore-Chennai National Highway near BRG Mathepally near Krishnagiri.

Kochu Akshara and her cousin Remya died on the spot in the accident. In addition, Anil Kumar, Aparna and Akansha were seriously injured while two others from Bangalore who came in another car sustained minor injuries. He was rushed to Krishnagiri Government Hospital for treatment.
Gandhiguppam police reached the spot and recovered the bodies and sent them to the government hospital for postmortem. Gandhiguppam police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
