Post-poll violence: Out of 28 allegations, 1357 are false and explosive allegations in the Supreme Court

Own report: The state has filed a memo in the Supreme Court in the case of ‘post-vote violence’. The government complained that there were explosives there. The state claims that police have investigated 26 allegations of ‘post-election violence’. Of these, 1358 were false allegations.

The state claimed to have filed 1429 cases on behalf of the police. FIRs have been registered in 752 cases. 6,752 people were found guilty. 5,154 people have been arrested, subdued or released on bail. A total of 2,989 notices have been issued under Section 41A of the CRPC. The state alleges that the allegation of inaction made against the state police by a committee comprising members of the National Human Rights Commission is false.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister was sworn in on May 5 on behalf of the state. Earlier, the Election Commission was tasked with maintaining law and order in the state. The state alleged that the NHRC committee members were close to the ruling BJP.
