Kovid 19: Delta infection among children is on the rise as schools open in the United States

As soon as the school opened, the number of children affected by covid began to increase in the United States. Not only is the number increasing, but the number of deaths due to delta is also increasing. Pediatricians have expressed concern about this.

The U.S. Department of Health estimates that 2,397 children were hospitalized Tuesday for coronary heart disease. An average of 369 children are admitted to the hospital every day since early September. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 55,000 children affected by Kovid have been hospitalized since August 2020. As of September 6, 520 children in the United States had died of covid, according to the CDC.

Under the circumstances, Kovid opened schools in the United States last year. Since then, the number of infections among children has skyrocketed. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), between August 5 and September 2, 8.5 million children nationwide were affected by Kovid. Of that, 2.5 lakh children contracted the disease last week. According to AAP figures, the number of new cases has increased by 26 percent.

The number of children admitted to the hospital has tripled in the past four weeks, said pediatrician Le Behner. In some cases, children with mild signs or symptoms had a multi-inflammatory system (MIS-C) for several months.
