Registration for the Kovid vaccine for those over 18 will begin on Saturday, April 24. This was announced by RS Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority. The name can be registered through the Central Government’s ‘Queen’ application or portal.
“Anyone over the age of 18 can register for the vaccine through the Queen app,” Sharma said. Registration will start from April 24. The vaccination process and the documentation required for vaccination will remain the same.
The government has said that the vaccine will be given only to those under 18 years of age. The first phase of the vaccination, which began on January 17, vaccinated health workers and first-line Kovid fighters. In the second stage, immunization is given to those over 45 years of age. Vaccination can be done in the third stage from May 1 to 18 years of age. Vaccination is provided free of cost in government hospitals. However, you should get vaccinated from private hospitals and other vaccination centers at your own expense.
The dose of vaccination at this stage is very high. That is why more public and private immunization centers are being set up, ”Sharma said. At this stage, along with Kovichield and Kovacin, Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine will also be given at some centers, he said.
Private companies have been asked to indicate the date and time of vaccination in the currency application, ”Sharma said. In addition, the phone numbers of employees of private companies have also been directed to be published in the currency application.
Sharma said he would monitor the vaccine for any adverse effects after vaccination.
