New Delhi: Health Minister Satyendra Jain has said that schools in Delhi will not be reopened until the vaccine against Kovid arrives. His response came at a news conference on Thursday.
There are no plans to open schools in Delhi at present. The Kovid vaccine is expected to be available soon. Until then, the situation must be brought under control. The health minister said it was unlikely the schools would reopen now.
The test positivity rate in Delhi had dropped to 8.5 per cent yesterday. On November 7, the positivity rate was 15 percent. He said that there was a gradual decline in it. The disease can be controlled only if the positivity rate is more than five per cent for more than two weeks. He added that efforts were being made to increase the number of RTPCR tests.
