Saudi Arabia to Recruit 12,000 Kerala Nurses in 18 Months — Ministry of Health Drive Begins June
["Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health confirmed a major recruitment drive targeting Kerala nurses to fill critical gaps in its expanded hospital network, with 12,000 positions across general nursing, ICU, operation theatre and paediatric specialisations to be filled by December 2027.","The recruitment will be conducted in three phases starting June 2026, with walk-in interviews planned at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode simultaneously. NORKA Roots will co-ordinate documentation and pre-departure orientation.","Salary packages range from SAR 4,500 to SAR 7,200 per month depending on experience, with free furnished accommodation, return airfare annually, and 30-day paid leave. Roles are under direct Ministry employment, not agency contracts.","Kerala nursing associations welcomed the announcement, noting that 28,000 nurses from the state already work in Saudi Arabia. The new drive is expected to ease the domestic nurse shortage debate by creating structured overseas employment with government backing."]
